Hire Terms

What's the cost?

The cost of our units/parking bays vary depending on location and on any deals we may have on – please check the location pages for the current prices.

Do you offer discounts?

Occasionally we offer deals and discounts – check back on the website every now and then for the latest offers.

Can the price I pay go up?

We increase our prices annually. The increase amount is guided by inflation in accordance with the government figures of consumer price index (CPI) over the previous 12 months.

We will never raise your hire price at any other time or in an ad hoc or unfair manner.

What's the minimum term?

Our standard minimum term is 4 weeks. After this we operate on a 7 day notice period.

Is there a deposit?

There is a £50 security deposit for the lock and key when you hire a unit. This is refunded to you at the end of the rental period.

There is no deposit for parking bay hire.

How do I pay?

Payment is via debit or credit card – we enter your details into our secure system and a payment is automatically taken at the start of each hire period (normally every 4 weeks). This continues until you give notice on your unit/bay.

When is payment due?

As standard payment via debit or credit card is due every 4 weeks in advance.

Can I see a unit/bay before I rent one?

To keep costs down and our prices low we don’t man the sites all day everyday so this can make it difficult to provide this service. All of our units are dry, watertight and cleaned prior to any new customer taking one on and you’re more than welcome to visit any site and see the lay of the land through the gate/fencing. If your visit coincides with a site manger being there then of course we can show you the inside of a unit too.

Does your price include VAT?

Yes, all our prices are inclusive of VAT.

Are there any other charges?

Typically no. There are occasions when Business Rates have been applied to Storage Containers by the relevant Local Authority. In these scenarios, the result is mostly a zero rating, meaning the residential or business customer will not need to pay anything. Any financial liability is usually restricted to larger businesses and in these circumstances, we will connect you with the relevant Local Authority as legally required.

Can I reserve a unit/bay in advance?

Sure! Give us a call on 01834 850 058 and we can sort this for you. We require the first 4 weeks rental paid upfront as a non-refundable deposit to hold a bay/unit for you.

How do I sign up?

Give us a call on 01834 850 058 and we will arrange for you to meet one of our team members on site to complete paperwork and get you into your unit/bay.

Container Info

What size are the containers?

Our large units are 20 ft long, by 8 ft wide by about 8 ft height. That’s 160 sqft of storage space. We also have medium sized units at arounds 60sqr ft and then a number of smaller units at 40 sqr ft and extra small units at just 20 sqr ft – these offer incredible value for money if you don’t have much to store.

Do the units have electricity?

Electricity and/or lighting is provided free of charge in units at some of our locations. In these cases electric is switched on via a timer switch and cannot be used when you are not present at the unit.

Are the units water proof?

Yes the containers are fully water tight.

What about condensation?

Being water tight means no external water will penetrate into the units – but that also means moisture can find it difficult to escape the containers as well.

So it is important that users do not stow wet or damp items as this can lead to the build-up of condensation– especially during cold winter snaps.

To counter this:

  • At some sites units have a special insulating material on their ceilings which helps prevent condensations (see locations for more info).
  • Moisture absorbing desiccant sticks are also a great affordable way to help dry out your unit. We have them available to buy.
  • We advise customers to air out their units on sunny days at least once every couple of months.
  • At some locations we provide state of the art air purifying and cleaning dehumidifier machines. Available to hire at an additional cost.
Do you supply dehumidifiers?

Yes, at some locations we have state of the art air purifying and cleaning dehumidifier machines available to hire at an additional cost.

More info HERE

For a more affordable option and where power is not available we also have moisture absorbing desiccant sticks for sale. These do a great job at preventing condensation build up, but won’t dry out your goods to the extent of the dehumidifiers

Are the units insulated?

Our units on some of our sites have their ceilings fitted with our special insulated coating. This coating is proven to prevent condensation build up and subsequently prevents drips – keeping your belongs dry.

This coating also has thermal properties that helps insulate and prevent rapid heat rises or loss through the roof of the unit
